Tobacco Free Lake County Indiana

Our collective goal is to raise awareness of the devastating impact of tobacco use and achieve health equity by eliminating the disease and economic burden associated with tobacco addiction and exposure to tobacco products. We advocate for equitable, fair, and just opportunities and conditions for all people to live a healthy tobacco free life regardless of their race, level of education, gender identity, sexual orientation, the job they have, the neighborhood they live in, or whether they live with a disability. We recognize that it will take every organization, business, school, healthcare provider, and citizen to help create a healthier Lake County that is not crippled by the commercial tobacco use and vaping epidemic. We therefore strive to maintain a local infrastructure through activities that include training adult and youth advocates, empowering community members, collaborating with stakeholders, and building diverse coalitions.
